Common Questions

  • I offer therapy in English, Punjabi, and Hindi. You’re welcome to move between languages during sessions—sometimes emotions and cultural experiences are easiest to express in the language they were lived in.

  • You might resonate if you’ve been thinking:

    • “I’ve done therapy before, but I still feel stuck.”
    • “I understand my trauma, but my body still reacts.”
    • “I’m high-functioning, but internally overwhelmed.”
    • “I need someone who understands culture, family expectations, or identity.”
    • “I want depth and practical tools.”

If that lands, we may be a strong fit.

  • Yes. Many people minimize what they’ve lived through. If something continues to impact your nervous system, relationships, or sense of safety, it deserves support—whether or not it fits a label.

  • Many of my clients have, some as youth, some postpartum, and some after major life transitions. Therapy isn’t about “starting over.” Different stages of life can bring up new layers, and it’s common to return to healing with more clarity and readiness.

  • That’s completely okay. You don’t need the “right words” or a perfect timeline. We move at your pace, and we focus first on what feels most present and manageable.

  • No. Therapy with me is collaborative. I can offer structure, reflections, and tools, but you remain the expert of your life. We make decisions together.

  • Most clients start weekly. As things stabilize, we may move to biweekly or monthly. We’ll decide together based on your goals, capacity, and the pace your nervous system can hold.

  • In-person sessions are offered in Surrey, BC.
Virtual sessions are available across British Columbia.

  • Yes. I’ve been in therapy myself—both as a youth and as an adult, including postpartum—and I’ve experienced the impact of EMDR firsthand.

I know what it’s like to feel dysregulated and to carry symptoms that can look like anxiety or ADHD when the nervous system has been under chronic stress. I don’t offer work I haven’t deeply respected and reflected on.
